Do you have a plan B in your business? What if the things you’ve planned in your business, or that you’re working on today, whatever it is, doesn’t turn out exactly the way you wanted?
What if your big launch doesn’t produce, or that email campaign doesn’t perform the way you want, or that team member you just hired doesn’t work out… do you always have a fallback position?
What is your plan B?
In your daily life you usually have a plan B for most things. For example, when you’re driving, you’re consistently checking in your rear-view mirror, you’re checking in your side view mirror, you’re checking on the kids in the backseat, you’re seeing what the guy beside you is doing and you’re thinking, even if it is on a subconscious level, what if this?… what if that? You’re planning in your head what your next move is in case something doesn’t go as planned.
The same thing applies for athletes. On the basketball court when they’re dribbling up the court and looking at the whole court and thinking what do I do if this person moves here, if that person doesn’t cut where they’re supposed to go? If I go to the left what happens, or if I go to the right what happens? They’re always working out the contingency plan in their head.
It’s the same in your business – you should be doing the same thing… it’s called having a plan B.
What are you going to do or how are you going to respond in a given situation in your business? What’s your contingency plan, your plan B? Because, let’s face it, in today’s world things happen very quickly.
Things happen very quickly in your business, and if you’re not prepared and ready to change with the times, or if you’re not poised to make those snap decisions, then things can fall apart, and fall apart very quickly.
So, you always have to have a plan B. You need to have a plan B for every piece of your business, for your product launches, live events, webinars, teleseminars, email campaigns – everything.
Think about all of the things in your business and make sure you have a plan B. Your plan B doesn’t have to be a big written out plan, but you have to at least have it in your head – it will take you far in your business and your life.
