Truth be told, there is no particular cap on the amount of money a blogger makes. Some earn hundreds of dollars, while few others earn thousands of dollars monthly. Regardless of which one you aim at achieving, a high degree of patience, hard work, and persistence is needed. Coupled with that, you still have to keep on working on various ways you can drive organic traffic and visitors to your blog or website.
Let us take a look at a realistic amount a blogger can earn at the end of the month. I am going to be very conservative about the numbers, however, with dedication and diligent work, your profit potential is much higher.
Worst Case Scenario: $0 – $100 per day
As a newbie, you may earn virtually nothing or just a few dollars within the first few months. You need to continue publishing more and more interesting and engaging contents, depending on the niche or topic you are blogging about.
However, since there are lots of blogs online, the best way to gain visibility is to choose the right keywords carefully. Work at positioning yourself as an authority in the niche you have chosen and really put yourself out there. Use social interactions on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus to gain exposure.
The combination of the right keywords and you being out there is a good start. Sharing and promoting your content will help optimize your blog and increase your rank. Soon you start to show in search results. If you continue posting contents, and you are still unable to break out of this range after a year, this may not be the right niche for you. The best possible solution is trying out another niche.
Average Case Scenario: $100 – $500 per day
If you can break into this earning range, that simply means you have done something right. Somthing that many other bloggers have failed to do. Blogging for profits is not easy. You have to be patient. You have to be dedicated and committed. More than that, you need to be willing do what other bloggers are afraid to do.
This is daily earning from blogging that is considered average. Only a few bloggers have been able to achieve this mark. You will be making a decent living with this kind of earnings.
There are a couple of speculations that new sites are often sandboxed by Google. The assumption is that they have to prove themselves. This sandboxing may limit the amount of traffic you get on your website initially. However, with consistency, your blog will become more visible to internet users. With time, you should find yourself in this earning category.
Best Case Scenario: >$500 per day
If you are able to cross the $500 earning mark from your blogging endeavors, you are definitely doing something right. At this point, you have been able to scale your blog. Hence, you monthly earning has no cap.
